We have an immediate opportunity for a part-time Technical Writer for the Los Angeles area. This individual will be responsible for producing and formatting training materials. This position is fully remote.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to produce learning materials (eLearning modules, facilitator guides and workbook, and job aids)
• Responsible for and maintaining consistency with established visual and instructional design standards set by the Creative Director
• Ability to collaborate with the project managers and instructional designers and team members
• Ability to work on and manage multiple projects at the same time while adhering to timely deliverables
• Responsible for reviewing and conducting light quality assurance checking and ensuring formatting is accurate and functionality is correct
• Must be extremely detailed and organized

 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in English or Journalism
• Expert level proficiency in Adobe InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite to include PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow design templates, brand and style guidelines
• Ability to work independently and manage time in a remote environment
• Excellent and strong organization and file management skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience working in learning and development, education or corporate training environments
• Previous experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer
• Familiar with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) learning content
