Salary: $45,000 - $55,000

Perfect Afternoon seeks a talented and passionate Graphic Web Designer. We want to hear from you if you have a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of UX/UI principles, and a love for crafting beautiful and functional websites.

Position Summary

As an experienced Graphic Web Designer, you will play a key role in designing and enhancing our customer's web presence. You will work closely with our development and marketing team to create visually stunning and user-friendly websites. This position requires proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, an understanding of Web Standards, experience with WordPress, and a solid understanding of web usability, UX/UI design, and general SEO principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Web Design: Create visually appealing and effective web designs that align with our brand identity and business goals.
• UX/UI Design: Develop user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints. Use Figma to design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
• Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve user experience and optimize website functionality.
• WordPress Development: Design and manage websites using the WordPress platform, ensuring compatibility and adherence to web standards.
• SEO Principles: Apply SEO best practices in web design to enhance site visibility and performance.
• Design Assets: Create and manage a library of design assets, including icons, graphics, and images.
• Adobe Suite Expertise: Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Express) to create and edit design elements.
• Figma Proficiency: Use Figma for design collaboration, prototyping, and user interface design.
• Trends & Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Apply best practices in web design, UX/UI, and SEO to all projects.

What do we expect from you?

• *Experience: Proven experience as a Graphic Web Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing web design, UX/UI projects, and visuals for Social Media/Digital marketing and development.
• *Proficiency with Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, and WordPress.

• Solid Understanding ofusability principles, web standards, responsive design, and SEO best practices.
• Skills: Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail.
• Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to present and explain design concepts effectively.
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about user needs and business goals.
• Local to Detroit: Ideal candidates will be local to Detroit, MI, and able to work in-office & hybrid.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of agency experience
• 2+ years of experience working professionally in graphic design and digital marketing
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
• Proven experience creating website designs and graphic standards for web and digital marketing
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paying close attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for storytelling and visual content
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and organized
• Mac proficiency
