About the Role

A leading company in the aviation industry is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead AI-driven digital servicing initiatives. This role is instrumental in managing multiple technology projects that enhance customers' self-service capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager who can drive projects from concept to completion, engaging with senior stakeholders while managing the intricate details necessary to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, vendor management, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy, adaptability, and strategic thinking to an evolving digital servicing landscape.

Please note that this is a hybrid role in Chicago, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple AI and digital servicing projects, coordinating vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to AI project execution while incorporating waterfall practices where needed.
• Work closely with program managers, application managers, and scrummasters to develop deliverables, resource plans, budgets, and roadmaps.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, synthesizing key information and providing concise updates.
• Drive the development of metrics, tracking and reporting progress on a weekly basis.
• Ensure AI projects comply with industry standards, ethical considerations, and data privacy regulations.
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing process enhancements.
• Identify and mitigate program risks, ensuring clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience, ideally in AI, software development, or data-driven projects.
• Proven experience leading AI/ML or data science projects, particularly those involving large-scale models or automation.
• Hands-on experience working with AI engineers, data scientists, and software developers.
• Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with waterfall project management.
• Strong JIRA experience, including dashboard creation and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Strong vendor management and leadership skills in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Experience with Global Contact Centers technology.
• Understanding of Infrastructure (Cloud) and DevOps.
• Exposure to Gen AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock).
• Smartsheets experience is a plus.

Work Schedule & Logistics

• Assignment Length: Longterm ongoing contract.
• Location: Hybrid – Based in Chicago, with an expectation to be onsite three days per week in downtown Chicago.
• Work Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM CST.
• Travel Requirements: None.
• Work Authorization: US Citizens and Green Card holders only.

Interview Process

• 2–3 rounds of interviews:
• Round 1: Video interview with the Hiring Manager.
• Round 2: In-person interview with team members.
• Round 3: In-person interview with the Hiring Manager.
• Candidates may be asked to provide work samples before or during the interview process.
• Feedback timeframe: 1 week.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $55-68 per hour (W2 Only)
• The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
