Job Description

The Project Coordinator will have responsibility for supporting Project Managers through the execution of project tasks and deliverables, as well as well as independently managing elements of small commercial projects while promoting CC&N’s goals, values, and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with project initiation tasks including:
  • Applying for permits (customer or municipal).
  • Material ordering, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Assisting with technical resource scheduling.
  • Creation of labels.
  • Supporting pre-job submittal processes.
  • Site surveys and walkthroughs.
  • Administrative support and document control.
  • Assist Project Managers with project execution tasks including:
  • Review of quoted bills of material.
  • Assisting with change order management.
  • Follow up on tasks with customers or internal resources.
  • Assist Project Managers with project closure tasks including:
  • Partner warranty applications.
  • CC&N workmanship warranty processing.
  • Creation of As-Built documentation.
  • Supporting post-job submittal processes.
  • Review and processing of test results.
  • Update and maintain customer information within our software systems.
  • Track and maintain project status in CRM.
  • Assist with RFP responses.
  • Support within the invoice and billing process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and responsiveness to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure safety is planned for every project in compliance with CC&N and customer requirements.
  • Follow project reporting processes to communicate project metrics and status to CC&N and customer stakeholders.
  • Direct Field Technicians on project related tasks as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written, and listening.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects of various size and scope in parallel.
  • Ability to manage cost and time effectively in assigned projects.

Preferred:

  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the low voltage structured cabling or wireless or related industry.
  • Field experience installing structured cabling systems or wireless product offerings.
  • 1+ years project coordination experience.
  • Industry certification such as PMP, RCDD, or other BICSI certs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform “desk duties” such as sitting, typing, writing, filing and speaking on the telephone.
  • Perform computer work utilizing monitor, mouse, and keyboard.
  • Drive throughout Wisconsin in an automobile.
  • Assist as required with communications infrastructure installation, maintenance, and service.
  • Lift, bend, and carry materials weighing 50-75# unassisted.
  • Stand on ladders, work overhead, crawl, and stand/sit in one spot for long periods of time.
  • Walk through of construction sites and large multi-building campuses.
