Job Description

We are looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you help create digital and physical marketing materials for marketing campaigns, sales and service teams, social media, and other departments within Coats. Candidates should be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, other design applications, and be willing to learn new skills to improve their knowledge of these software or new ones. This is an entry level role, but candidates should be able to produce high-quality materials while adhering to deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities

• Design a wide variety of digital and print marketing materials, including decals, flyers, mailers, social media posts, website assets & page designs, illustrations, tradeshow assets, copywriting and more.
• Contribute to composition, typography, photography usage, and maintaining the company’s design library.
• Conduct market research on what competitors are doing and stay up to date on current graphic design marketing trends.
• Ensure that all designs adhere to Coats’ brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms.
• Work very closely with other designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver designs that meet objectives.
• Partake in brainstorming sessions and utilize divergent thinking when creating multiple design concepts and layouts for review and execution
• Make revisions to designs based on feedback from team members and clients, ensuring that all changes are implemented efficiently and effectively.
• Adhere to project deadlines and submit high quality, final deliverables

 

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related degree strongly preferred
• Experience in an internship or entry-level graphic design role
• Be able to complete work and meetings in Central Standard Time (remote is ok)
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Be highly organized with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to multitask many assignments
• HIGH attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics and design consistency
