An esteemed contractor in the area is looking for a Preconstruction Manager/Estimator. This contractor has a backlog of diverse commercial projects, local to the area, that stretch over the next couple years. The Preconstruction Manager will be a cornerstone for the company and an integral part of the leadership team!
Preconstruction Manager Responsibilities:
• Direct the overall planning and development of new project activities and the activities of all current projects.
• Ability to make reliable predictions regarding cost and be comfortable estimating across all scopes of work.
• Ability to prepare detailed estimates and, as the design evolves, develop variance summaries between estimates. Ability to perform value engineering studies throughout.
• Ability to prepare detailed instructions to bidders and comprehensive bid packages.
• Must be prepared to participate and often lead the preparation and presentation of cost/budget information to the customer/owner.
• Work in partnership with the Operations Team to prepare constructability reviews, logistics planning, and scheduling.
