About the Internship Program We're currently offering Finance and Accounting internships that will allow you to: Contribute to budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting processes Gain insight into cost optimization strategies and revenue analysis Assist with accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting Learn about compliance, audit preparation, and internal controls Support monthly and quarterly financial closings This internship is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on exposure to the financial operations of a business that supports large-scale IT initiatives. Duration & Schedule Term: 8-12 weeks (extensions possible based on performance) Start Date: Rolling admissions throughout the year Schedule: Flexible part-time or full-time availability Key Responsibilities As a Finance & Accounting Intern at GigaKOM, you will: Work closely with our finance and operations teams on key financial initiatives Help prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and audit documentation Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas for process improvement Participate in finance team meetings and interdepartmental collaboration Support project budgeting and performance tracking What We're Looking For Required: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication abilities Initiative-driven and detail-oriented Preferred: Familiarity with financial systems or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) Previous exposure to budget planning, data modeling, or report generation Interest in the financial functions of a technology or IT services company Mentorship & Development Receive direct mentorship from experienced Finance and Accounting professionals Participate in weekly learning sessions focused on financial strategy, compliance, and reporting Benefit from ongoing feedback and a formal performance evaluation at the end of the term Compensation & Perks Compensation: Unpaid, part-time (up to 10 hours a week) internship for 1-3 months, strong performers will be offered an hourly (Part time or Full time) position Professional Growth: Access to training, webinars, and finance-related workshops Career Pathway: Strong performers may be considered for full-time opportunities post-graduation Company Culture: Collaborative, inclusive, and team-oriented environment Communication & Reporting Reports To: Finance Manager or Internship Program Coordinator Works With: Finance team, cross-functional teams, and fellow interns Application Process Ready to build a solid foundation in Finance and Accounting with a mission-driven company?
