Wash N' Wiggle Pet Service Center in Morris Plains, NJ is growing and expanding our Pet Squad, our premier dog walking and pet sitting division. We offer an incredible opportunity to spend time with a variety of pets on a part-time basis.

This is a perfect fit for those who are looking for a supplemental income as well as those who want to spend few hours outside each day with fun, energetic work. Please note that we are looking for candidates who can provide at least a 6 month commitment and who live within a 10 mile radius of our store location in Morris Plains, NJ.

Position: Part-Time Dog Walker

Shifts Available:

• Midday Weekday Dog Walker 11am-5pm (hours flexible), 3-5 days a week including Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Alternating weekends required - at least one shift per weekend.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior dog walking, pet experience and pet ownership is preferred.
• Candidates must live in the Morris Plains / Morristown, NJ area.
• Must have your own reliable car to drive to and from customer homes.
• You must be detail oriented and have excellent time management & communication skills.
• Trustworthiness, common sense, and an ability to follow detailed client instructions
• Exceptional written and communication skills to interact with us and our clients.
• Candidates must be readily able to adapt to and manage an ever-changing schedule.
• Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays. The Wash N' Wiggle Pet Squad operates 365 days a year.
• Candidates must be available to work every day during their assigned shift.
• Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments.
• Must be resistant to inclement weather, including cold, snow, humidity, and rain,
• Ability to think on your feet under pressure and modify actions accordingly.
• Available to start work immediately and be able to commit to work for a minimum of six months.
• Equipped with a smart phone with access to email and a data plan.
• Candidates must have excellent work and personal references.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client homes within a 5-10 mile radius of our store location in Morris Plains and provide individualized dog walking and pet care.
• Provide attentive pet care, including dog walking and pet sitting, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals as well as home security.
• Utilize strong animal handling skills during interactions with pets.
• Maintain clear communication with management and pet owners.
• Manage time effectively to accommodate multiple clients and their schedules.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
