Growing Company in Albuquerque, NM, with a new opportunity for a Customer Service Representative role within an Extended Business Office setting. This position is only remote for the first month and then on-site in Elk Grove and offers a chance to contribute to a mission-driven health care environment by supporting patient financial services.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering excellent customer service to patients and resolving billing issues in collaboration with internal departments.
- Researching and reconciling remittance advice and patient account discrepancies.
- Reviewing and processing credit balances and patient refunds.
- Verifying health insurance information and processing patient credit card payments.
- Handling patient inquiries, complaints, and billing concerns via phone, email, and in person.
- Registering patients for hospital discount and charity care programs.
- Performing administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and responding to mail.
- Maintaining compliance with HIPAA and local/state/federal billing regulations.

This role does not involve direct patient care, but you’ll play a vital part in supporting the patient experience from a financial and administrative standpoint.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish-MUST.
- Experience or familiarity with medical terminology, billing, and hospital operations is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to type at least 30 wpm.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
