Job Title: Welder
Location: Cresco, IA
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our client’s team in Cresco, IA. The successful candidate will perform setup, fitting, fabrication, and wire feed (MIG) welding of standard aluminum or steel components on a repetitive line of standard products.
Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and plus welding with distances no greater than 12 inches.
• Weld straight lines with minimal curving.
• Verify welding results through inspection and testing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics; work from sketches or verbal instructions.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
• Perform sanitary welding and fitting of parts.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures.
• Support LEAN manufacturing concepts and methods, including cell setup, mapping, and value streaming for efficient product flow.
• Make adjustments within procedural limits to fine-tune the process for product conformance.
• Maintain a high level of performance while observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements.
• Ensure high welding quality as documented by reject/nonconformance charting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, procedures, drawings, and blueprints.
• Minimum of 6 months of previous welding experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units.
• Able to accurately read a tape measure.
• Operate basic hand tools.
• Must pass a pre-employment welding skills assessment.
