You will perform a variety of tasks which involve, inspection of inventories, the replenishing of merchandise, and minor upkeep of all Navy Exchange Everett vending machinery. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer - our Military patrons and their families.
So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?
o Takes inventory of machine stock and equipment, maintaining/monitoring, and replenishing vending merchandise o Lifting and handling moderate to heavy objects up to 40 lbs. o Follows all local safety regulations. Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions. o Working both inside and outside in all types of weather conditions o Operates motor vehicle throughout the geographical area in the performance of the duties. The Qualifiers:o One year of experience that provide the applicant with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform various duties involving stocking, merchandise transfers, receiving, merchandising of product, and or food handling processes within a retail or services environment.
o Must possess a valid state driver's license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check.
o HazMat training required within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations.
o Pass the GSA defensive driving course

GENERAL EXPERIENCE One 1 year of experience that provided the applicant with knowledge and skill to carry out basic retail services selling duties.
OR
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GENERAL EXPERIENCE One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE One 1 year of experience that provided the applicant with the knowledge and skill to perform various duties involving stocking merchandise transfers receiving merchandising of product and or food handling processes within a retail or services environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly lifts and transports moderately heavy objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Occasionally handles heavier items with assistance or materials handling equipment. Regular walking bending reaching required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Must possess a valid state drivers license. 2. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely. 3. Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility e.g. Federal DOD Security Clearance etc. . 4. Pass the GSA defensive driving course.
