• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n
• Start Date: October 6, 2025\n
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU), 24 beds\n
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)\n
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (excluding orientation and holidays)\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday\n
• Float Requirement: May float to NICU and PICU as needed\n
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic\n

\n\nPICU RN Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Wisconsin or Compact Registered Nurse license\n
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred\n
• Current American Heart Association BLS and PALS certifications (ACLS preferred)\n
• Minimum 12-18 months of recent, high-acuity pediatric cardiac ICU nursing experience\n
• Level I Trauma experience highly preferred\n
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
• Professional scrubs required (any color)\n

\n\nPediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide expert clinical care to pediatric cardiac patients, including neonates, infants, and adult congenital heart patients\n
• Coordinate and manage patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environment\n
• Utilize advanced cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills for patients post-open heart surgery, heart transplant, and open chest procedures\n
• Care for hemodynamically unstable patients and those with impending respiratory failure\n
• Float to NICU and PICU as needed to support comprehensive patient care\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes\n
