Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with at least two years of NICU experience and a current CA RN license for a day shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Level III NICU at a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 4x12 hour shifts, 07:00-19:30
• Flexibility required for every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage
• No on-call requirement
• Floating required to PICU and CTICU as needed
• Uses Epic for documentation
• Treats neonates with complex conditions including need for phototherapy, ventilator support, and management of blood products
• RTO (requested time off) of up to 5 days may be approved, but is not permitted over Black Friday (11/28) or 12/21-23
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
• Locals within 50 miles are accepted at a local rate
• Must successfully complete required online modules and Epic training prior to start
• Holiday coverage and flexibility with scheduling are required

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years recent NICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have more than 2 years NICU experience
• Certification required: BLS and Advanced NRP
• Experience with Level III NICU procedures, including phototherapy, tube feed/gavage, blood products, PICC, peripheral lines, anti-seizure meds, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilators
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• No prior permanent employment at this hospital allowed
