Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in a state-of-the-art critical care setting with required level 1 trauma and telemetry experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the PACU department of a hospital's brand-new Critical Care Tower
• Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Patient ratios are 1:2 in PACU, floating to holding area with ratios 1:3-5
• Care for patients pre/post cath lab and IR procedures
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
• Weekend requirement is one shift per month
• Requires 1-2 on-call overnight shifts per 4-week schedule
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• No holiday time off permitted on December 24-25
• Floating required within scope to holding area in PACU as needed
• Scrub color is black
• First-time travelers will be considered upon client screening
• Personal transportation required if working at certain remote locations
• RTO over 7 days requires approval; no RTO allowed during the first or last 7 days of contract
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers if out of the system for at least 12 months
• Completing facility orientation and compliance on time is mandatory
• Drug screening required within 30 days of start

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NM or compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with level 1 trauma and telemetry experience required
• Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, PALS
• Pre/post procedural (Cath Lab and IR) experience required
• No locals accepted within a 75-mile radius
• COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions available with approved documentation)
• RQI certifications not accepted
