On Call Requirements: Call based on procedures and not necessarily M-F, will include weekends.
Description:
Prepare and maintain a sterile field, pass instruments, retract tissues, and assist with tissue exposure during cardiovascular surgeries.
Set up the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring all items are sterile and functioning properly.
Assist in positioning the patient, applying monitoring devices, and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
Licensing/Certification:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Experience:
2 years CVOR require OR 2 open hearts (Cabg/ Valve replacements) and 2 Cardio Thoracic per week (Thoracotomy).
Must take call after their shift and 24 hours on the weekend, which averages out to 2 weeks per month.
Would be helpful if they have trauma and Robotic experience.
