Job Title: Travel Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech
\n Facility: Comanche County Hospital
\n Shift: 3x12's Nights – 7 PM to 7 AM, Friday through Sunday
\n Start Date: 10/11/2025
\n Assignment Length: 5 months (until 02/14/2026)

Position Overview:
\nJoin the dedicated imaging team at Comanche County Hospital as a Travel Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech. In this role, you will perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound exams, including echocardiograms, to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced sonographers seeking a rewarding travel assignment with competitive pay and flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures with precision and attention to detail.\n
• Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and cooperation.\n
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.\n
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret and communicate imaging findings.\n
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.\n
• Document procedures accurately and complete necessary reports in a timely manner.\n

What You Bring:

\n

\n
• Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer with proficiency in echocardiography techniques.\n
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.\n
• Excellent technical skills with ultrasound equipment.\n
• Compassionate patient care and effective communication skills.\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n
• Flexibility to work on nights and weekends as scheduled.\n

Preferred Education & Experience:

\n

\n
• Certification in Cardiac Sonography/Echocardiography from a recognized body such as CCI, ARDMS, or CAAHEP.\n
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience performing echocardiograms in a clinical setting.\n
• Previous experience working in a hospital environment preferred.\n

Certifications & Licenses:

\n
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent certification.\n
• Licensed as required by state regulations, if applicable.\n
• CPR certification is preferred.\n
