Altec Industries is seeking Supply Chain/Purchasing Co-Ops for our Focus Factory located in Elizabethtown, KY .

Qualifications:

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in a 2- or 4-year program in one of the following majors preferred:
  • Business
  • Supply Chain
  • Operations Management
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must have completed a minimum of 24 hours of coursework or have earned sophomore class standing.
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities:

• With guidance from Engineers and Supply Chain Analysts, identify and implement improvement opportunities for our Materials team.
• Assist in projects where creativity and/or innovation are required, these projects may include Cost Reduction, Process Design, Data Integrity, EOQ, On-Hand Inventory Levels, etc.
• Maintain accurate material pricing.
• Apply business principles and concepts for inventory control.
• Operate spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Perform other recordkeeping duties.
• Assure safe work practices and policies are adhered to. 
• Assure that good housekeeping is maintained in all plant and material yard areas.
