Job Description Sterile Processing Technician - Mid Shift Location This position is located in South Carolina.
Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Shift: 5x8-Hour (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with rotating weekends. Call required at least once every two months.
Job Description The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment. They will also be involved in the reprocessing of scopes and work with various surgical specialties, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and gynecology.
Responsibilities - Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assemble and wrap surgical trays according to established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the sterilization process.
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Participate in the training of new staff members in sterilization techniques and processes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience required.
- National certifications such as CBSPD and/or HSPA are required.
- Experience with scope reprocessing is essential.
- Trainee candidates will not be considered for this position.
