Forklift Operator And Material Handler

Join our team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler in a large distribution center. You will be responsible for building pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped to grocery stores and retailers. In this role, you will operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment, picking, packing, and customizing pallets based on client orders. A headset will guide you through the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

• Build pallets for canned dry goods according to client orders.
• Operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced environment.
• Pick and pack items using a headset for guidance.
• Navigate the warehouse efficiently to fulfill orders.
• Ensure each pallet is customized to client specifications.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with forklift operation, specifically stand-up forklifts.
• Order picking and packing skills.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Minimum of 6 months of forklift experience, or over 1 year in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
