Sr. Tax Consultant (Partnerships) – Alternative Investments – Boston, MA 02111 We’re currently seeking candidates for a Senior Tax Consultant position located in Boston, MA 02111. The position is with an industry leading investment management firm. The Sr. Tax Consultant will play a critical role in the calculation, reporting, and compliance of complex fund structures, with direct exposure to management companies, GPs, and portfolio investments. Qualified candidates will have a strong foundation in partnership taxation. This is a 7 month contract position that will pay $70-$100/hr (depending on experience) within a 40 hr work week. Key Responsibilities: Calculate and allocate taxable income across fund structures. Support timely federal, state, and foreign tax filings, including K-1 disclosures. Manage relationships and workflow with external tax advisors and fund administrators. Coordinate tax return mailings, payment processing, and investor communications. Prepare tax distribution payments, quarterly estimates, and monthly reports. Assist with tax research, structuring, and internal documentation. Respond to investor and tax authority inquiries. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of tax or tax/audit experience within alternative investments (partnerships). CPA and/or advanced tax degree a plus. Strong communication, analytical, and Excel skills. Proficiency in tax software and workflow tools is a plus.
