Skilled Trade - Tool & Diemaker
Nexteer Automotive Saginaw, Michigan Operations is soliciting candidates for Tool & Diemaker positions.
Applicants must have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Must be Safety oriented individual - overriding priority
- Self-starting team-oriented individuals with good technical and people skills
- Must be willing to coach/mentor fellow employees
- To qualify you must have one of the following:
- Journeyman's card
- Completed a Department of Labor - Certified Program
- Experience as a Tool & Diemaker, preferably 8 years
- Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints to perform die repair and fabricate any parts in toolroom
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimension & Tolerances
- Work with close tolerances
- Must have own tools and toolbox
- Set up and teardown fixtures on lathes and mills
- Set up and teardown dies on presses
- CNC Programming Lathes & Mills
- Ability to:
- Operate tool room equipment including, but not limited to mills, tool lathe, surface grinder, band saw, CNC Axis Machines
- Experience rigging using chains, slings and chokers from overhead cranes
