Summary of Job Duties:

This position is responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance activities that will be performed by skilled tradesmen as well as some non-skilled laborers such as student workers. Will supervise a medium sized staff by interviewing, hiring, handling employee-related problems and disciplinary matters and evaluating performance of subordinates. Inspects buildings and equipment to determine needed maintenance. Monitors jobs in progress and inspects completed projects for compliance to acceptable standards. Handles complaints from buildings in areas such as room temperatures, equipment breakdowns and unsafe facilities. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. Occasionally attends staff meetings with engineers, architects and other professionals in all aspects of present or future projects. Will also perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have a Master electricians license and a Class A HVAC license as well. Must have 10 years of experience in electrical and HVAC with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Must be willing to be on call at all times and perform other tasks as assigned.
