Frisco CPA firm is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant with Shifflett & Philips, you will work directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners to create and maintain company financials as well as perform tax planning, analysis and research work on numerous types of tax returns. A positive attitude and willingness to work necessary hours to complete assigned projects is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review Federal and state business and individual tax returns.
• Prepare and maintain company financial statements in QuickBooks Online & QB Desktop
• Develop and retain technical expertise
• Proactively identify and communicate issues as they arise
• Maintain a positive and “team player” attitude
• Become familiar with and adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures
• Apply a working knowledge of various computer applications
• Willing to work necessary hours to complete assigned projects

Minimum Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s degree in accounting preferred
• 2-5 years’ experience working for a public accounting firm
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a complex, dynamic environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage time
• Display professional and competent demeanor
