Senior Principal Software Engineer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Work with our internal partners (CTO Technologists, Product Management, and other Architects spanning software, firmware and hardware disciplines) to architect new and innovative solutions and experiences

  • Gather business requirements, drive product definition and influence prioritization for new features, Design and lead the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust  

  • ·Provide strong technical leadership in decisions when collaborating across multiple lines of business; including experience design, software product marketing, platform hardware teams , validation

  • Generate Intellectual Property to protect innovations, Take part in the full software development life cycle including architecture, development, test, continuous delivery and support  

  • Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes, be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and deliver

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience  

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to adapt to technologies and processes quickly  

  • 3+ years of strong Windows client/cloud development experience including C# .Net  

  • Experience with native and cloud API integrations, Experience with Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), including threat modeling  

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience in presenting to management and technical teams in an effective and persuasive manner  


Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field  

  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence), e xperience with client/cloud programming languages/tools  (C/C++/C# .Net , AWS/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, Java, GoLang ), e xperience in Cybersecurity (certificates, authentication, encryption, etc.) 

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170k - $259k.
