At Trunk Tools, we are tackling the massive $13 trillion+ construction industry. Were an exceptional team of serial entrepreneurs, brought together by our shared mission: automating construction. Our founding team (SpaceX, Stanford, MIT, Carta, etc.) has successfully built and deployed software in construction for 140k+ users, millions of users beyond the construction space, and worked on +$2 billion of built-environment projects. We arent another out-of-touch tech startup, most of our team comes from construction.
We spent the last few years building the brain behind construction. Now we are deploying workflows/ agents, starting with Q&A document chatbot, to be ingrained in construction teams workflows, ultimately to automate construction. Given our immense traction with several Fortune 500 construction companies, we are doubling our team in order to deploy several more agents this year. You will have an opportunity to drive the transformation of a multi-trillion-dollar industry full of waste, risks and inefficiencies.
Develop and Enhance Product Features : You will build new features and expand existing functionalities across our products - TrunkText (Construction Document Guide) and TrunkPerform (Incentive Management Tool).
Scale Our Systems : Iterate on our backend architecture to support the growing needs of thousands of users, making sure our systems are robust, scalable, and future-ready.
Ensure Reliability : Guarantee that our applications are reliable, user-friendly, and free from bugs, providing an exceptional experience for our users.
Strategic Participation : Actively contribute to product strategy discussions, bringing innovative ideas and perspectives to the table that could shape the future of our products.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with other teams, including product management and design, to ensure seamless development and deployment of features.
3-5 years of work experience in full-stack development
Proficient in TypeScript
Experience in Backend development (Node + Express)
Experience in Frontend development (React)
Experience in data schema modeling
Comfortable with relational and non-relational databases
Previous experience shipping products to users
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Solution-oriented and high-level programming skills
