Security Professional - School Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Professional - School Patrol Full-Time in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within an educational setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals you encounter. You will act as a trusted presence, responding to inquiries and concerns with professionalism and clear communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

DayTime

Thur 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

Fri 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM

Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

Sun 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, assisting with security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, security-related hazards, or conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location personnel to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
