Responsibilities: PeopleTec is currently seeking a Scrum Master / Product Owner to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is a company that hires and develops technology talent and puts them to work on client projects across the United States. We specialize in Digital Transformation, Cloud Services, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), Data Science, and Machine Learning (ML) related initiatives, both in the federal and commercial space. We are currently seeking a mid/senior-level Agile Scrum Master/Product Owner to support our Huntsville location. Our team is seeking a seasoned Agile Scrum Master/Product Owner who is not only passionate about delivering high-quality products but also dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Agile professionals. In this unique role, you will lead cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies while also taking on the responsibility of training, coaching, and mentoring junior Product Owners and Scrum Masters. Your leadership will help shape the future of our Agile practice, ensuring that best practices are followed and that our team continuously improves. Duties: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Define and communicate the product vision and strategy, aligning with company goals and customer needs. Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the delivery of the most valuable features. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Remove impediments and blockers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Track and report on team velocity, sprint progress, and key performance metrics. Train, coach, and mentor junior Product Owners and Scrum Masters, helping them develop their skills and understanding of Agile principles. Provide ongoing feedback and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and confidence. Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and coaching sessions to enhance the team's Agile capabilities. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in product ownership, backlog management, and team facilitation. Support junior team members in navigating challenges, making informed decisions, and achieving their professional goals. Create and maintain a knowledge-sharing culture within the organization, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: Required Skills/Experience: 6+ years of experience in an Agile Scrum Master and/or Product Owner role, with proven experience leading successful Agile teams. Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, or training junior professionals, particularly in Agile methodologies. Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and product management best practices. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide others. Experience in developing and delivering training programs or workshops. Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., ADO, GitLab, Jira, Trello, or equivalent). Ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive environment. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer-centric decision-making. Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Product Owner (CSPO) is highly desirable. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. Desired Skills: Experience in DoD and Digital Transformation projects. Knowledge of Lean, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies. Experience working with remote or distributed teams. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. Experience in a leadership or managerial role, particularly in a product development or software environment.
