Our client is a leading heavy civil contractor who work in both public and private sectors here in Houston. This company works on projects valued from $1million to $150 million within heavy subdivision, roads, highway and bridge construction Due to continual growth and internal development there is an opening for a project manager to join the organization.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the project costing, safety, scheduling, budget and overall management of the day to day operations of the site. Successfully bid projects will be passed on to you from the pre-construction team, you will then communicate and manage the project, liaising with sub-trades, consultants, engineers and client representatives. This position will be very field based so you will be responsible for managing all field personnel as well.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you possess a minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction industry and hold either a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree. You will come from a heavy civil background and have experience on working on highway, bridge or roadway projects. You will also possess excellent leadership qualities and are able to lead on any given project or task.
