POSITION OVERVIEW

The Retail Attendant reports to the Provisions Manager and is responsible for supporting the Retail Outlet, to ensure this gourmet market and retail space meets the standards of excellence guests have come to expect when they visit the resort. This beautiful newly remodeled retail outlet will have the finest quality of perishables, along with a unique gourmet selection of both prepared foods, frozen choices, and beautiful South Seas products. We are looking for an inspired, driven individual who believes in providing outstanding guest experiences and comes to work energized and ready to carry that spirit throughout the day. RATE OF PAY   full-time, hourly position at $20 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Retail Clerk provides service excellence by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the retail space (i.e., Provisions), assisting with deli orders from the guests, showing requested merchandise in display cases, entering guest purchase information into the ticketing system and/or point of sale system, collecting and processing payment and returning applicable change following established procedures. 

POSITION REQUIRMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Must be proficient in POS systems, Inventory Management Systems and Microsoft Office
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure.

Required: Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed

Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)

Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL

Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations)

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift to forty (40) pounds.
• Work in both an indoor/outdoor environment with the potential for hot temperatures.
• Ability to work at a computer in an office setting and respond to client inquiries promptly.
• Must be able to manage stress-related conversations with clients, vendors, and other departments.
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the General Manager.

HOURS REQUIRED  40 hours a week; flexible schedule; days and times may vary based on need including weekends and/or holidays.
