Job Summary:

Foothill smiles is a top ranked private dental practice and  We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental practice. The RDA will play a vital role in supporting the doctor during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining an efficient and organized clinical environment. This position requires excellent technical abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up materials.
• Take diagnostic digital X-rays, Panoramic and intraoral photos as needed.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment notes.
• Perform laboratory tasks such as taking impression (digital) and fabricating temporary crowns
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Monitor and manage inventory of dental supplies and instruments.
• Comfort patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring a positive experience.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patient reminders.
• perform inventory control for supplies and ordering as needed

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification as required by [state/province].
• Certification in X-ray and radiation safety as per state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft).
• Familiarity with various dental specialties such as orthodontics, periodontics, or oral surgery.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.
