Are you ready to take your engineering skills to the next level in a dynamic and hands-on chemical manufacturing environment? Zeochem is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement.

At a Glance: The Ideal Candidate

• Hands-on experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on process optimization, troubleshooting, and cost reduction

• A proactive, safety-minded approach to working collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to drive quality, efficiency, and plant reliability

• A B.S. in Engineering (Chemical or related field preferred) and 2–4 years of relevant experience in process engineering or a similar technical role

• Strong critical thinking skills and a solid understanding of chemical principles and problem-solving methodologies

What You’ll Do

• Become a subject matter expert in assigned unit operations and processes

• Analyze and optimize processes to reduce cost, improve performance, and support quality goals

• Solve complex process challenges using critical thinking, data analysis, and chemical knowledge

• Support daily operations through troubleshooting and technical guidance

• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement procedure changes, train operators, and support R&D plant trials

• Coordinate and implement small capital projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain accurate documentation, P&IDs, labeling, and production data

• Conduct routine safety audits and participate in process hazard analyses

• Support a 24/7 manufacturing operation by occasionally working with night shift or outside traditional hours as needed

What You’ll Bring

• B.S. in Engineering (Chemical or related discipline)

• 2–4 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment

• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills

• Ability to think critically, adapt quickly, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Work Environment

This is an on-site role within a 24/7 manufacturing facility. The role requires regular standing, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), and varying work in environments with mechanical equipment, chemicals, and varying noise levels.

Schedule & Travel

• Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, with occasional extended hours based on plant needs

• Minimal travel required (less than approx. 5%)

• Supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation — flexibility to occasionally work with night shift or outside traditional hours is expected to meet business needs
