Huron Academy is currently hiring full time Preschool Director.

Huron Academy is a tuition free public charter school for K-8th located in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township. We offer smaller class sizes, a hands on science program, character education, and strong academic programs. Latchkey and preschool classes are offered five days a week throughout the year.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood education or child development.
• Any bachelor's degree or higher and a ZA or ZS endorsement (endorsements issued by the Department of Education in conjunction with a teaching certificate).

Responsibilities include:

• Administer teaching a class each day
• To manage and maintain the standards and policies of the Great Start Readiness Program in accordance with state, county, and academy policies.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the program, supervise staff, evaluate program effectiveness, be familiar with child assessment and screening, and have a working knowledge of preschool curriculum.
• Administer day-to-day operations of the program including registration, classroom placement, and being available to address parent, child, and staff issues.
