This role is critical to ensuring our large-scale plumbing and HVAC projects are equipped with the right materials, equipment, and services—on time and within budget. You'll work closely with project teams and vendors to streamline supply chains, manage contracts, and support seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define procurement needs for plumbing and HVAC systems on commercial construction projects.
  • Source and secure competitive bids for plumbing materials, fixtures, and related equipment from vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring all necessary contracts are in place before project launch.
  • Maintain and update expediting logs to track equipment orders and delivery timelines and ensure alignment with construction schedules.
  • Troubleshoot delivery or supply issues to prevent project delays and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to support ongoing and future projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in plumbing purchasing within commercial construction or mechanical contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, materials, and equipment.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
  • Stable work history with a strong understanding of local market suppliers.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Proven track record of strategic vendor management and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Why Join Us

This is an excellent opportunity to significantly impact high-profile commercial construction projects in the mechanical sector. If you're a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of plumbing procurement, we'd love to hear from you.
