Requirements:

• Candidates for the Crisis Therapist position must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure. Candidates without a state license can be considered but must obtain state licensure(LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP)within a 60-day training period beginning on the date of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, and obtain a Michigan Chauffeur License within 30 days of employment.
• Must have the ability to engage adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders, their families and supporters.
• Candidates must obtain theQualified Mental Health Professional and Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist (SATS)credentials within 120 days of hire.
• Candidates must possess a CAADC credential, or be on an active, approved registered MCBAP certification Development Plan within six weeks of hire. Upon hire, the application must be submitted for the Development Plan to MCBAP, with or without the trainings, within 30 days of hire, or they will not be permitted to provide services.Documentation of trainings must be submitted with the DevelopmentPlan Application or within 90 days of hire.Candidates must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illnesses
