Get to Know Your Team:

• Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, housing the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to ensure a safe and caring patient environment.
• Assist in assessing patient health by collecting and documenting vital data accurately.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
• Monitor patients and promptly report any concerning signs or symptoms.
• Coordinate with providers and patients to schedule necessary procedures and ensure effective reimbursement.
• Communicate positively with patients, visitors, and staff, answering phones and responding to messages in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate efficiency and dependability in your responsibilities while cross-training to assist colleagues.
• Ensure accurate documentation of observations and interventions in medical records.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining rooms as needed.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties and provide clerical support as assigned.
• Maintain department records and manage routine supply orders.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant certification or National/Idaho EMT licensure.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of medical terminology.
• One year of experience in acute or long-term care.
