Overview

Part-Time 1099 Contractors - HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Handyman Maintenance. Superior Contracting & Maintenance is seeking insured, part-time 1099 contractors to complete rotating residential maintenance work orders. This is not a job boardno pay-to-lead fees. We partner with property portfolios and pay contractors directly for completed work. You will receive work orders directly from us, with not-to-exceed limits for minor repairs and the option for larger jobs that require an estimate.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete maintenance work orders from Superior Contracting & Maintenance.
• Perform minor residential repairs on first visit where possible; larger jobs require an estimate prior to work.
• Provide professional service across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general handyman tasks as part of rotating properties.
• Utilize provided materials; all materials are purchased by the company.
• Submit completed work for verification and receive direct deposit payments.

What Were Looking For

• Part-time, insured independent contractors (1099) who want routine maintenance work, not full-time employment.
• Tradespeople who are self-motivated, communicative, and able to handle straightforward tasks across rotating properties.

Requirements

• Valid General Liability Insurance (COI required)
• Workers Comp preferred but not required (deduction can offset coverage gap)
• EPA Certification for HVAC techs (mandatory under new refrigerant regulations)
• Must provide W9 and valid Tax ID
• Must complete onboarding/training call with vendor representative before receiving work
• Reliable vehicle (truck, van, SUV) and necessary tools
• Ability to navigate a mobile portal/app for job management
• Strong professionalism, punctuality, and communication skills

Disqualifiers

• No active insurance
• Missing EPA certification
• Unwilling to complete onboarding/training call
• Poor communication or failure to follow through on jobs
