This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field and 3 months of related experience. Must also have experience with each of the following: 1) performing high complexity testing on patient specimens using both manual methods and automated analyzers in all the sections of the laboratory; 2) executing and analyzing tests in areas including hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, molecular testing, clinical microscopy and blood banking; 3) must possess certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA); 4) participating in Quality Assurance, quality control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting; and 5) performing specimen collection, identification process and procedures to facilitate simple to complex diagnostic testing. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
