Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Shift can vary)

What You Bring:

• 1 year of experience, including experience with insurance portals, claims research, and documentation.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations across multiple states.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, clients, and insurance providers.
• Ability to analyze complex billing and insurance situations and provide effective solutions.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in billing and record-keeping.
• Experience with insurance and patient claims follow-up.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with medical terminology, EOBs, and remittance codes.
• Skilled in contacting patients regarding past-due accounts professionally and courteously.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and committed to providing exceptional service.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient/client billing questions, resolving inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Take and process patient/client payments accurately.
• Update patient account information and verify insurance details for accuracy.
• Track and resolve outstanding patient accounts and payment issues.
• Document all patient and client correspondence accurately in the billing software system.
• Review EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and provide clear explanations for billing inquiries.
• Navigate EMR systems to retrieve medical records, notes, and other requested information.
• Follow up on pre-collection and patient collection accounts through phone calls.
• Assist with insurance claim reconsiderations and appeals.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the billing team and organizational goals.
