Job Description: The Manufacturing Assembly Technician II is responsible for the accurate and efficient assembly of complex components and machinery, specifically related to Pallet Machinery Group's Titan Pallet Nailer. This role requires advanced assembly skills. The Technician II must be proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings, operating specialized machinery, and ensuring that all assembly processes meet the highest quality standards. The position also involves troubleshooting assembly issues, contributing to process improvements, and assisting in training less experienced technicians.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Assembly Tasks:
   • Accurately assemble all designated preliminary sub-assemblies.
   • Assemble at least two of the primary assemblies.
   • Utilize a variety of tools and equipment specific to the Titan Pallet Nailer to ensure precise assembly in accordance with specifications.
2. Troubleshooting:
   • Identify and resolve assembly issues specific to the Titan Pallet Nailer to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
   • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any assembly-related challenges.
3. Equipment Operation:
   • Operate and maintain specialized machinery and tools required for assembling the Titan Pallet Nailer, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
   • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on assembly equipment specific to the Titan Pallet Nailer.
4. Quality Assurance:
   • Conduct inspections and quality checks on sub-assemblies and final assemblies of the Titan Pallet Nailer to ensure compliance with company standards.
   • Document and report any defects or quality issues encountered during the assembly process.
5. Process Improvement:
   • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the assembly processes of the Titan Pallet Nailer for enhanced efficiency and quality.
   • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for Titan Pallet Nailer assembly.
6. Training and Support:
   • Assist in training entry-level technicians in the assembly processes of the Titan Pallet Nailer.
   • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
7. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including issues encountered and corrective actions taken.
   • Prepare detailed reports on assembly performance and progress specific to the Titan Pallet Nailer.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly role, with specific experience in assembling components of machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a complex assembly environment.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized assembly tools and machinery.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
