Job Description JOB DETAILS Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM - Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays) Starting pay is $16.25 per hour with potential increases based on experience and skill. Plus $1.50 shift differential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position facilitates staging, loading, and material handling used in the process of preparing steel fabrication product mix for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of loading techniques and have high attention to detail.
- Perform the required duties with the safety of self, fellow dock workers and the receiving parties in mind and quality as the top priority
- Required to scan all products loaded into truck 100%
- Report any safety or quality concerns to Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately
- Unload and load trucks and trailers
Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment
- A minimum of one (1) year of forklift operation
- Overhead crane experience is a plus
- Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
- Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane
- Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
