Job Details FULL TIME
Base Salary $140-160k Plus 15-20% Bonus
Onsite 5 Days a Week (This is a serious company, looking for serious people)
**LCB REQUIRED**
Responsible for the management, successful growth, and development of our Operations Team in the Philadelphia office. Coordinate and oversee all internal departments to ensure the compliance of employees with the company policies, U.S. Customs regulations, customer service requirements/procedures and protection of the company liability. Oversee, assist, train and maintain responsibility for the preparation of Customs entries, processing of inbound freight shipments, delivery of merchandise as needed and overall operational workflow of import and export shipments. Maintain a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task various tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Organization and leadership of the office.
- Ensure all departments are producing timely, quality, and accurate flow of information by providing support and assistance as needed and fairly distributing workload.
- Work closely with EVP of Operations, EVP of Freight and VP of Brokerage to ensure company procedures and processes are being followed.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses within the individual departments and work to implement improvements where necessary.
- Monitor team performance against company standards and department goals. Regular audit of file documents and accounting practices.
- Adhere to, train, and advise team in areas of Customs Brokerage Regulations.
- Monitor problems and implement corrective action when needed.
- Issue work instructions to team members to ensure timely and orderly file flow.
- Provide management guidelines, training, and organization to the departments. Show leadership abilities and initiative.
- Adjust systems which will allow the office to function more effectively and efficiently.
- Outline responsibilities to each team member. Monitor team performance to ensure that we exceed our company OKRs and KPIs.
- Address performance issues and work with HR on performance improvement plans.
- Conduct regular meetings, communicate individual department goals and expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 9 -10 years Mgmt. experience.
- Employee must have intermediate user knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Cargowise is a plus.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent team-building skills and ability to train staff.
- Ability to delegate workload to team.
- Strategic planning experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Proven professionalism and reliability.
- Strong mathematical skills, such as appropriately add and compute fees, percentages, taxes, currency conversions, weight, cube, measures, U.S. Customs and other agency fees.
