Description

We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant for our newly renovated property!

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Load articles into washer and make sure correct code is entered into machines.

•Wash clothes according to StepStone and Marriott hotel standards.

•Iron linens such as pillowcases, flat sheets, banquet linen etc; ensure proper temperature is used correctly when utilizing the iron machine.

•Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damages.

•Fold and place all linen items in appropriate storage racks.

•Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vat to precondition for washing.

•Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when they are found

•Soak articles according to procedure in bleach.

•Pretreat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures.

•Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours.

•Deliver the cleaned linens to the appropriate closets or Department heads, as needed

•Assist with monthly linen inventory.

Requirements:

•Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.

•Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

•Hearing, writing, typing.

•Standing for long periods of time.

•Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.

•Other duties may be assigned.

•Must be flexible with work hours, appropriate for hotel business needs.
