Landscape Construction Superintendent

Job Location: Maltby, WA

Compensation: $80,000.00-$85,000.00/yr

Job Description:
The Landscape Construction Superintendent leads and manages the on-site team while overseeing all on-site activities. This role ensures the site is orderly, complies with safety regulations, meets quality standards, and is equipped with necessary materials and equipment. Additionally, the Superintendent coordinates inspections with relevant authorities and ensures timely project completion.

Responsibilities:

• Manage activities of subcontractors, vendors, and labor, maintaining close control over work accuracy and quality.
• Schedule and coordinate inspections with city officials, government agencies, and private entities.
• Document and complete all punch list items.
• Interpret and implement contract specifications and drawings.
• Enforce all safety rules and regulations.
• Manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to develop daily, weekly, and project-level work plans and objectives.
• Schedule and lead meetings with owners and designers.
• Ensure goals and timelines are met within the project budget.
• Maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Supervise project foremen and crews.
• Work with municipalities to meet code requirements and obtain necessary permits.
• Provide safety training and conduct toolbox talks.
• Maintain and update accurate redline drawings on-site.
• Approve daily timecards.
• Train crews on landscape installation, including hardscapes, retaining walls, planting, low-voltage lighting, and irrigation (conventional and two-wire systems).
• Demonstrate expertise in irrigation design and installation.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and sit occasionally.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Recognize and identify products at varying distances.
• Handle, move, and position materials extensively using hands, arms, and legs.
• Perform desk or computer work for extended periods.
• Differentiate between colors and products.
• Work extended hours and in inclement weather.
