Position Title: Building Substitute Teacher (Grades K–12)

Focused Staffing Group is hiring dedicated and flexible Building Substitute Teachers to support a charter school in Delaware. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive, mission-driven environment that values consistency, collaboration, and student success.

Job Brief:

• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Support diverse learners with patience and flexibility
• Manage classroom behavior and foster positive student relationships
• Provide timely feedback on student progress and maintain required records
• Collaborate with staff and school leadership as needed
• Adapt to different classrooms and learning styles with confidence

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates who bring professionalism, adaptability, and a love of learning to the classroom. This role is ideal for:

• Certified teachers looking for flexible work
• Teachers with less than 1 year of Teaching Experience, with or without Experience
• Retired educators who want to stay active in education
• College students or recent grads pursuing a career in teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
• Prior experience in a K–12 classroom or school setting strongly preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Reliable and able to work with short notice during school hours

Standard Requirements

• State and Federal Background Checks
• Child Abuse Registry/Clearance
• 2-Step TB Test
• COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if available)
