FalconTek is a GovCon solutions and services provider that supports federal agencies, state governments, and commercial companies. FalconTek has provided support around the globe on mission critical programs since 2008. We rapidly deploy personnel in support of technical, professional, and medical projects.

We have an opening for a Janitor to support a contract with Veterans Affairs in the local Sheridan area.

Job Types: Contract

Location: 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33708

Shift: On-Call (Day and evenings shifts)

Pay: $17.20 per hour + $5.09 per hour to utilize for Health & Wellness or Cash in Lieu

Start Date: You will have the opportunity to start on the project as soon as fingerprinting and government background investigation is completed. The anticipated timeline is 2 - 4 weeks.

Background Screening/ Check/ Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/ Check/ Investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.

Duties:- Perform general janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors- Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are low- Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly

Skills:- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus
