Kuppa Joy Coffee House: IT Tech Support Specialist

Position Overview: We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive  IT Tech Support Specialist to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of Kuppa Joy's backend systems, and you'll help support the tools and platforms that power our stores, online presence, and wholesale operations. The ideal candidate has a background in IT support, specifically in  POS systems (Square), Shopify, Thrive Metrics , and 7Shifts , and has a passion for improving processes and providing excellent support for both hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for our systems used (Shopify, Square POS, and Thrive Metrics), troubleshooting issues with integrations and system functionality.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of internal systems, ensuring seamless operation of POS and inventory systems across multiple locations.
• Assist in developing documentation and reference tools for troubleshooting and onboarding future team members.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Regularly interact with Kuppa Joy employees to provide hands-on support and ensure tech-related issues are resolved efficiently.
• Manage and track tech tickets via Monday.com, prioritizing issues by urgency and impact on the business.
• Monitor system performance, taking proactive steps to prevent future issues or downtime.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with 7Shifts and  Thrive Metrics or similar inventory and team management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in coding languages like  HTML, CSS, JavaScript , with the ability to implement website enhancements and troubleshoot code-based issues.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when supporting non-technical users, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred : Experience in a hospitality or retail environment, supporting point-of-sale and customer interaction systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• • Familiarity with tools such as  Monday.com for ticket management and project tracking.
  • Certifications related to Shopify, Square, or similar platforms.
  • Experience developing custom integrations or automation solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Proven experience supporting  Shopify and  Square POS platforms, with an understanding of e-commerce and point-of-sale best practices.
