Are you enthusiastic about maintaining safe online communities and encouraging positive interactions? We are looking for a German-speaking Content Moderator to become part of our dynamic team. This role allows for a hybrid work model , where you will work 2 days in our Malta office and 3 days remotely from home. While prior experience in content moderation is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

• Content oversight and moderation : Review and moderate user-generated content (including posts, comments, images, and videos) to ensure adherence to community guidelines, company policies, and legal standards.
• Identify and manage harmful content : Actively monitor for and remove inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content, ensuring the online platform remains a safe space for all users.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency : Make sure that all moderation decisions are consistent with internal guidelines and meet both company and regulatory standards.
• Report violations : Elevate complex issues or repeated policy violations to relevant teams and provide thorough documentation as needed.
• Foster a positive online atmosphere : Work to create a safe and inclusive online environment by upholding guidelines and enhancing user experience.
• Team collaboration : Collaborate closely with fellow moderators, customer service, and legal teams to ensure efficient and effective moderation processes.

Your Profile :

• Proficient in German : You must be fluent in both written and spoken German to effectively manage and communicate regarding German-language content.
• Good English communication skills : Proficiency in English is essential for teamwork and internal communications.
• Attention to detail : A keen eye for detail is crucial for accurately reviewing and moderating content.
• Strong problem-solving skills : Ability to make prompt decisions in challenging situations, escalating issues when necessary.
• Independent worker : Comfortable managing tasks with minimal supervision, especially in a remote setting.
• Experience in content moderation or related roles : While prior experience is beneficial, it is not required. Experience in social media management or online community engagement is a plus.
• Cultural sensitivity : A solid understanding of cultural norms and sensitivities in Germany to effectively moderate content within that context.
