CurieTech Inc. - Fullstack Engineer

Sunnyvale, CA Full time

As a Full Stack Engineer in our generative AI startup, your role will involve designing APIs and then architecting and implementing cloud-based microservices to implement those APIs. In addition, you will implement the user interfaces based on these APIs as well as integrate these APIs into the user interfaces of other products. You will work in a tight-knit team, closely with the founder and other founding engineers who have a strong track record of building industry-defining machine learning and analytics products.

About the Role:

As a Founding Full Stack Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Designing APIs and architecting and implementing cloud-based microservices.
2. Implementing user interfaces based on these APIs and integrating them into other products.
3. Rapidly prototyping ideas to fit user requirements and operational feasibility.
4. Productionizing prototypes with well-architected, well-designed, and testable code.
5. Practicing test-driven development and building test suites and frameworks for high-quality implementations.
6. Documenting and maintaining software functionality.
7. Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems.
8. Integrating software components into a fully functional software system.
9. Ensuring software is updated with the latest features.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from a reputable institution.
2. Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.
3. Expertise in API design and implementation, ORM concepts and frameworks, and knowledge of frameworks such as GraphQL.
4. Experience with database schema design and application databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, etc.
5. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
6. Experience in microservices architecture and containerization.
7. Participation in or contribution to open-source projects, especially in the AI/ML domain.
8. Startup experience.
9. Ability and willingness to work onsite 4-5 days a week at our Sunnyvale office.
