We are seeking a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate for a distribution company in Ayer, MA. The main responsibilities are to support daily warehouse operations through order picking, material handling, forklift operation, and safe loading and unloading of trailers.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trailers and load outbound trailers with customer orders
• Pick, stage, and pack orders using paper pick tickets, including handling large building materials
• Operate heavy-duty sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently
• Move, stack, and organize materials throughout the warehouse
• Cut materials as needed for pallet construction
• Update pick lists and look up inventory using basic computer systems
• Handle additional warehouse and logistics duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous forklift certification and experience operating sit-down forklifts required
• Strong attention to safety and accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform continuous physical labor
• Comfortable working in an outdoor yard and in an open warehouse environment
• Basic computer skills for inventory lookup and order updates preferred

This is a temporary position for approximately 6 months, with potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs.


The pay rate is $25/hr.


The hours are Mon-Fri 7AM-4PM with overtime required as needed.
