Job Description
Position Title: Forklift Operator
Position Duration: 03 Months with possibility of extension
Location: 8543 Page Ave Saint Louis, MO 63114
Shift hours: 3rd Shift Sun -Thurs – 4pm - 12:30am
Essential Responsibilities:
Home base is freezer, but may be needed to fork in other areas. this position is a utility position, meaning the person may also select (pick) cases. individual must be very strong on a stand-up forklift, and comfortable working around others in a tight environment.
Transport merchandise from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper location in the warehouse. • Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack size and description.
Stack cases and rotate merchandise.
Slot material in designated storage areas.
Pull material to deliver to production lines.
Move finish product from production to designated storage area.
Pull finished product from storage and load on trailers.
Unload material from trailers.
Utilize necessary technology (e.g., voice, RF gun) to select product.
Qualification
At least one year of experience on stand-up forklift or reach truck.
Ability to stand/walk for up to a 10-hour shift.
Must be able to lift objects weighing 20-80 lbs., occasionally lifting objects up to 90 lbs.
Twisting, bending, carrying, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and stooping. •Drive, motivation, and passion for providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work in a variety of temperatures.
Possess strong problem-solving skills and excellent time management skills.
Must be able to use independent discretion/judgment. Ability to work in a team environment.
High School education or the equivalent (GED).
